NKM2401 Manchester Encoder IC

The NKM2401 encoder/decoder chip provides a more reliable method of transmitting serial data wirelessly via radio link within PICAXE projects. By Manchester encoding the serial data, and using checksums, data reliability is greatly increased. This part is a PIC12F508 which is supplied preprogrammed with the NKM2401 firmware.

Radio modules not included, any AM or FM low cost module pair will work with this system. These chips are the encoder chips as used on the AXE213 project PCB, but these chips can also be used within your own projects.

Purchase 2 chips for an independent system: one as encoder, the other as decoder. Alternately use one chip paired with a PICAXE acting as a transmitted or receiver using rfout and rfin commands.
